What is the difference between DC EV charger and AC EV charger？

There is two types of electrical current to charge electric vehicle : alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC).The main different DC EV charger and AC EV charger is current which delivers to EV（electric vehicle）.

AC EV charger is alternating current. It converts the AC power from the grid into DC power to EV's battery. AC EV charger is slower and more suitable for home and public charging stations.

DC EV charger is direct current. It sends high-voltage and high-current DC power to the EV battery directly, without the car's on-board converter. DC EV charger is faster which finishes a full battery charge in 20- 30 mins. It is more suitable for highway fast charging EV stations.
