The five countries of Central Asia are Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. They are very limited and in early stages of development of electric vehicle charging facilities . Below is an overview of the current situation in the five Central Asian countries.
Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan has some progress in EV charger development. It has installed some EV charging stations in major cities such as Nur-Sultan (capital Astana) and Almaty, and the charging network is gradually expanding. However, the coverage and quantity of charging stations are still limited and need further expansion. The government has introduced some policies to promote the development of the ev & ev charging market.
Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is lagging behind in the construction of Electric car charging facilities. It has a few Commercial charging, primarily located in the capital city Tashkent ,and hasn’t a complete charging network. Uzbekistan started to pay attention to the ev market in recent years, and has proposed some policies to encourage the development of the electric vehicle market include completing the construction of Electric Vehicle Charger Station
Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan is relatively slow & limited to develop electric vehicle charging facilities. It has a few charging stations for electric cars, mainly concentrated in the capital city of Bishkek. The overall coverage is insufficient, and there is a need for further investment in charging infrastructure.
Tajikistan
Tajikistan is infancy of EV charger development ,and han’t a complete charging network, and the coverage of charging infrastructure is very low. It has a limited number of charging stations, primarily in the capital city of Dushanbe. The charging infrastructure is not widely available. The government is actively promoting the popularization of electric vehicles, and plans to gradually develop charging facilities.
Turkmenistan
The EV market has been limited developed in Turkmenistan too, and there are a relatively few related ev charging piles infrastructure. In the future, as the focus on sustainable transportation increases, the electric vehicle market and the corresponding charging pile market will gradually develop.
Overall, the development of EV charger infrastructure in the five Central Asian countries is relatively lagging behind. They are very limited of the coverage , quantity network of ev charger stations . The governments are taking measures to promote the development of the electric vehicle market and the construction of charging facilities. As the nascent and continue growing of electric vehicle market, the charging facilities in the five Central Asian countries will gradually develop and mature year by year.
It is an good opportunity and a big dividend for ev & ev charging suppliers and operation companies.
